Dessa is originally from Connecticut and has been tattooing since 1989 getting her start in Hawaii under the instruction of "Gypsy Pete". She is a licensed nurse and has won over 50 awards not only for tattoo work, but airbrush art on motorcycles, painting, and for having the best tattoo studio 7 years in a row in Arkansas. She loves doing portrait tattoos, gray scale work, and watercolor style tattoos but is open to doing most anything or trying new things.

Dessa also specializes in Nipple and Areola restorative tattoos for women who have undergone mastectomy and breast reconstruction.  She tattoos 3D-looking nipples at a very reasonable price in a private setting for your comfort.

Additionally, Dessa does permanent cosmetic tattooing and was the top permanent cosmetic technician in Arkansas for the last 14 years. The confidence it brings for people getting permanent makeup applied is most rewarding.

On her off time she enjoys motorcycle riding, karate, hiking, painting, and has published four books so far. Although she misses her granddaughter in Arkansas and adult children in Missouri, she is happy to be in Washington and proud to be working at Chameleon Ink Tattoo and Body Piercing.
